Climate Services in the Republic of Moldova
Zoï helps Moldova improve the production, delivery and use of hydrometeorological and climate-related information. The process requires a thorough understanding of users of such information in various social and economic sectors, so that the services fit their daily and long-term needs. The approach is anchored to WMO’s Global Framework for Climate Services, while the work in Moldova is initiated and funded by the World Bank, as one of GFCS’s global partners, through the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery
The report of the second workshop is dedicated to enhancing climate services in the Republic of Moldova. Workshop participants reviewed and in principle endorsed the draft concept of Moldova’s National Framework for Climate Services developed by Zoï and the State Hydrometeorological Services, and helped elaborate the action plan to implement the Framework.
