Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs) are sites outside protected areas that deliver effective and long-term in-situ conservation of biodiversity. OECMs are integral to commitments under target 3 of the Global Biodiversity Plan. The Russian translation of the IUCN technical paper aims to help interested stakeholders study and apply this concept and provides some examples from Central Asia based on CEPF projects.
