In the Western Balkans, 5,000 people a year die premature deaths that are attributable to air pollution. Poor air quality can exacerbate food insecurity, hinder economic development and degrade the environment upon which livelihoods depend. This report and scroll shed light on the major sources of pollutants and on the effects on the environment and human health in the Western Balkans.
